Town of Eckville Public Notice

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Eckville has given 1st reading to Bylaw 805-25 to amend the Land Use Bylaw 729-15.

The proposed bylaw amendment is as follows:

BY AMENDING

SECTION 2.11 DEVELOPMENT PERMIT APPEALS

By deleting: (b) Or by any person claiming to be affected by an order, decision or Development Permit made or issued by a Development Authority.

An appeal to the SDAB commenced by filing a written notice of the appeal containing reasons, with the ADAB with fourteen (14) consecutive days,

And by adding: (b) Or by any person claiming to be affected by an order, decision or Development Permit made or issued by a Development Authority.

An appeal to the SDAB is commenced by filing a written notice of the appeal, containing reasons, with the ADAB with twenty-one (21) consecutive days,

A PUBLIC HEARING on the proposed Bylaw will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, September 22, 2025 in the Council Chambers of the Town of Eckville at 5023 – 51 Avenue, Eckville, Alberta. Anyone affected by the Bylaw may speak and/or provide a written submission at the hearing. If you wish to have your written submission included in the Public Hearing Agenda, they must be addressed to Town Council and delivered to the Town Office no later than 1:00 p.m. on September 19, 2025.

A copy of the proposed Bylaw and related documents can be viewed between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Town of Eckville Office located at 5023 – 51 Avenue, Eckville, AB. The proposed Bylaw and Land Use Bylaw 805-25 can also be viewed at www.eckville.com.
